A two day tech fest organized by DEE, NIT Trichy, has been spreading the message of energy and its importance since 2008. It provides a practical insight to the recent developments and endeavors in the field of energy. "POWER FOR FUTURE" is the foundation for this event, which emphasizes on innovations and modern sustainable trends in the field of energy engineering. The program includes valuable lectures from eminent personalities from energy discipline and events that will invoke alterations in the bright minds. Our attendees include students, educators and industrialists from various parts of country.

About us



National Institute of Technology TRICHY

The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the country. The college has been conferred with autonomy in financial and administrative matters to achieve rapid development. Because of this rich experience, the institution was granted Deemed University Status with the approval of the UGC/AICTE and Govt. of India in the year 2003 and renamed as National Institute of Technology.

Department of Energy and Environment

Department of energy and environment, formerly known as CEESAT was established as a Centre, under the proto-col signed between the Government of India and United Kingdom with the objective of strengthening the research activities and curriculum related with energy and environ-ment. The department had been started as an interdisciplinary nodal centre to enhance the excellence in training, research and consultancy in Energy and Environmental Science. Main emphasis is given to the identification of appropriate technologies for the efficient production, distribution and use of energy.

Registration fee is charged for participating in the Events alone.

Students attending only Workshops need not pay the registration fee.

  • Online Registered participants can pay the registration fee of ₹ 200 at the PR desk available during ENERGEIA’17 on 7th and 8th April, 2017.
  • Students participating in ENERGEIA’2017 without Online Registration (Spot Registration) will be charged ₹ 250.
  • After registering a student can participate in all the events mentioned in the website.
  • We may charge a small amount for On the spot fun events conducted during ENERGEIA’17.
  • For group events all the members of the team should register.
  • Research Scholars and Industrialists can also participate in ENERGEIA’17 after paying a Registration Fee of INR 300 for Online Registered participants and ₹ 350 for participants opting Spot Registration.

Accommodation

Registration at PR Desk is compulsory.

Accommodation during ENERGEIA’17 is provided on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. Given below are the details to register for accommodation.
  • The deadline for registration is 3rd April, 2017.
  • Accommodation fee is ₹ 200 for the first day and ₹ 100 per day for the subsequent days.
  • A REFUNDABLE caution deposit of ₹ 100 will be collected from the participant
    and will be refunded after the participant vacates the room.
  • IN CASE OF ANY DAMAGE TO THE COLLEGE PROPERTY, THE CAUTION DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

Trichy is connected by road to Chennai and to all major cities and towns in South India by regular bus services. Tiruchirappalli is an important junction on the Southern Railway. It connects Chennai, Thanjavur, Madurai, Tuticorin, Tirupati, Rameswaram, Bangalore,Coimbatore and Cochin.

The simplest and most economical way to reach NIT-Tiruchirappalli is by bus. Any city Bus at Tiruchirappalli Junction will take you to the central bus stand or Chattram bus stand.

From Central Bus Stand: Board Thanjavur bound mofussil bus or a route bus(number: 128 bounded towards Thuvakkudi). The journey time from Trichy will be around 40 minutes.

From Chattram Bus Stand: Many buses depart from Chattram bus stand. Bus number 26 will be bounded towards NIT-T). If direct buses are not available, buses towards Thiruverumbur may be available. Another town bus from Thiruverumbur towards NITT will be definitely available.

The executive way of reaching NIT- Tiruchirappalli will be hiring a taxi. Taxis may charge around Rs.450/-.
